Pages and widgets

A page is a handful of large blocks, not a dashboard. Reckon on two to four widgets on a front page.

Widgets come from apps. If the app is not switched on for the portal, the widget does not exist as a choice, and if a widget has no data linked to it, it is not shown to the user at all. Source labels and "link this in the studio" belong in the studio preview and nowhere else.

How a page falls into place

The page's most important widget is promoted to the front page hero in large type. Small number widgets are merged into a single row of key figures, activity and links are shown as lists without a frame, and actions from every app are gathered at the top under "waiting for you". Only the middle tier is cards.
