Brand and customisation

A brand chooses five things. Everything else in the portal is fixed, so status reads the same way across portals.

  • A logo, in two versions: the full mark and a small one for collapsed navigation.
  • One primary colour. The palette is derived: a strong variant, tints and the navigation colour.
  • Navigation light, dark or in the brand colour.
  • Mood: neutral or tinted.
  • A curated pair of typefaces.

There is no free CSS and no layout freedom, and that is a feature rather than a shortcoming: the portal has to look right with any colour a customer picks. Semantic colours, ok, warning and error, are never driven by the brand.

Per portal

Where the navigation sits, in a sidebar or along the top, is chosen per portal, and a portal can override the brand's customisation if it needs to look different from the rest.
