What we receive
- The access request form
- Your name, work email and company, because we cannot invite you without them.
- Your language
- Stored in a cookie on your own device when you pick a language. It never reaches us as a name.
- Your country
- Our host tells us which country a request comes from, so a first-time Danish visitor is met in Danish. It is read and discarded, never written down.
- Server logs
- Our host keeps ordinary technical logs of requests for operational and security reasons.
What we do with it
An access request becomes one email to us, and we reply to it. That is the whole purpose. It is not added to a mailing list, it is not enriched with data bought from anywhere, and it is not used to build a profile of you.
We also count page views in aggregate, so we can tell which pages are worth writing more of. That counting only happens if you agree to it, and it does not identify you.
How long we keep it
An access request stays in our mailbox as an ordinary email until it has been answered or declined, and no longer than two years in any case. There is no database behind the form, so there is nothing else to delete. Technical logs are kept by our host for a short period and then rotate away on their own.
Who else sees it
- Resend
- Sends the one email your request becomes. They handle it in transit on our behalf.
- Vercel
- Hosts this site and receives the request in order to answer it.
Nobody else. We do not sell anything to anyone, and there is no advertising network on this site.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to us holding it at all. Write to hello@kilango.com and you will get an answer from a person rather than a ticket number.
If you are not satisfied
You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, datatilsynet.dk. We would rather you told us first, so we get the chance to put it right.
